Scranton, PA - A day after falling to Centenary College in New Jersey Marywood University rebounded by picking up two key wins over the Cyclones Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood's Dominic Loughlin went 4-for-5 with two doubles and five runs scored over the two games while Shane Miller had a homer and six RBI and Chris Ortiz had a homer and five RBI.  Marywood won the opener 15-9 and the nightcap 5-2 to improve to 17-11 (8-5 CSAC).  Centenary fell to 11-19 (6-9 CSAC). 

In the opener, Marywood picked up 15 runs on 15 hits, scoring all 15 runs from the second through fifth innings.  The Pacers scored four runs in the second, fourth and fifth while plating three in third.

Shane Miller was 2-for2 in the opener with a double, homer, five RBI and four runs scored.  Miller homered in Ortiz, who later returned the favor.  Ortiz also had a stellar game at the plate, going 4-for-4 with five RBI and four runs scored.  Loughlin was 2-for-2 in the opener with four runs scored.

Tim Freday (3-1) got the win for the Pacers, going five innings and allowing just one earned run (six total) while striking out two.  Jason Aikens and Russell Baldino each threw one inning in relief.    Chris Campbell (2-3) took the loss for the Cyclones.

In the nightcap, Chris Smith hit a leadoff homer to put the visitors up 1-0, but Marywood scored two runs in both the second and third innings to take a 4-1 lead. After Centenary cut the lead to 4-2 in the fourth, Marywood added an insurance run in the sixth to come away with a 5-2 win.

Loughlin picked up an RBI double in the nightcap while Dan Downton's RBI double in scored Marywood's two runs in the second.  Nicholas Pasqualichio had triple for the Pacers, who got a complete-game effort from Ryan Pelle on the mound.  Pelle (2-2) struck out six and allowed two runs on six hits.

Marywood returns to the diamond Sunday for a twin-bill against Penn State Wilkes-Barre at noon.  A pair of wins for the Pacers would help them tie the school record for wins in a season (19).
