Marywood fellt to 19-12 with the loss while Scranton improved to 15-13. Marywood trailed 3-0 after one inning of play but scored three of their own in the top of the second and added another in the top of the third to claim a 4-3 lead. Scranton tied the game at 4-4 with a solo homer in the fourth, then exploded for six runs in the fifth to put the game out of reach. The hosts out-scored the Pacers 13-2 after the third inning. Despite only being out-hit 16-13, Marywood could not bring runners home as the Pacers left 11 runners on base over the course of the game and committed six fielding errors to Scranton's three. Marywood's Nicholas DeFebo started and struck out three, but allowed eight hits and nine earned runs over 4.1 innings of work. Michael Ciavarella allowed two runs (none earned) over 1.2 innings, while Tyler Lyman finished the game on the mound for the Pacers, allowing four runs on six hits over two full innings. Besides Loughlin, Mike Diskin was the only Pacer to get multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with an RBI. Marywood returns to action Saturday with a doubleheader against Baptist Bible College.
