Mount Cobb, PA - Marywood University shot their lowest team score of the season but it was not enough as the University of Scranton downed the Pacers 302-322 in non-conference golf action Wednesday afternoon at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb.  Marywood's 322 was three shots better than their first outing of the season back on September 21, but Marywood fell to 2-3 on the year in dual matches as Scranton improved to 10-1.

Scranton's Andrew Loyack shot a two-over par 74 on the 6,241 yard course to lead all scorers on the afternoon.  The Royals' Eric Meyer and Chris Schank finished in a tie for second place after they each finished one stroke behind Loyack with a three-over par 75.

Marywood's M. Frank Major shot a 6-over 78 to finish in a tie for fourth with Scranton's Grant Gulick.  Paul Kania's 79, Robert Crofton's 80 and Matthew Janowicz's 85 rounded out the team scoring for the Pacers.  Brent Keyes shot a 94.  For Scranton, Robert Bresnahan's 79 and Brandon Gano's 80 did not count towards the team score.

Marywood closes out their inaugural season this Friday and Saturday at the Colonial States Athletic Conference Golf Championships.  The Pacers will head to Wilmington, Delaware to play for the title at Brandywine Country Club.
