Wilmington, DE - Marywood University's Paul Kania finished tied for 7th place after shooting a 76 in the final round of the 2012 CSAC Golf Championships, but the Pacers shot a team score of 685 to finish in seventh place out of nine teams at the finals.  Kania was named to the CSAC First Team by winning a tie breaker with the lowest second round score, while Matthew Janowicz was named to the Sportsmanship Team.  Marywood trailed leader Neuman University by 18 shots after day one but the Knights clinched the team championship by shooting a team score of 321 Saturday, seven shots better than round one.  The Knights beat runner-up Keystone by two strokes. 

Kania, who shot an opening round 84, had a combined score of 160 to tie him with Neumann's Bruce Bandos, who shot an 83 and a 77.  Medalist Chris Sarvadi of Cabrini College shot a 13-over par 153 with rounds of 78 and 75 to edge Chris Donohue of Neumann and Rob Linepensel of Centenary who both finished +14. 

M. Frank Major, who led the Pacers with a 83 on day one, shot a 86 to finish in 17th place (169).  Matthew Janowicz's 89 and 86 put him in 27th place overall, while Robert Crofton shot a 90 and 91 to finish in a tie for 35th.
