Easton, PA - Marywood University clinched their third consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis championship and third straight berth into the NCAA National Championship tournament as the top-ranked Pacers defeated third-seed Baptist Bible College 5-0 at the Northwood Racquet Club in Easton Saturday afternoon.  In the rematch of 2011's title game, Marywood swept doubles action and won two singles matches en route to the victory.  The Pacers, who won their 10th cosecutive match, improve to 11-5 and will await word on when and where they will open up the NCAA tournament while BBC closes their season at 9-7 and their second consecutive runner up finish.

Marywood's Daniel Pfafman and Wyatt Nolan got the Pacers their first point of the Championship match with an 8-1 win at #2 doubles.  Pfafman and Nolan defeated BBC's Connor Ellsworth and Ryan Miller to put Marywood up 1-0.  At one-doubles and three-doubles, Marywood extended their lead to 3-0 with a pair of 8-4 wins.  At #1 doubles, Evan Bolus and Todd Doran defeated Matt Benjamin and Caleb Evans, while at #3 doubles Ethan Jones and Ryan Mulqueen downed Conner Landry and Aaron McCauley.

In singles play, Bolus and Pfafman won at two and three singles respectively to seal Marywood's third straight title.  Bolus beat Ellsworth 6-0, 6-1 while Pfafman downed Miller by the same score. 

Marywood's Mulqueen was ahead of Benjamin 6-2, 1-0 while BBC's Evans was ahead of Doran at one-singles 6-0, 3-2 when the match was called.  At five singles, Jones was up on Landry 6-1, 1-1. The six-singles match between Marywood's Nolan and BBC's McCauley was never started.

Marywood will await word early next week on their destination and opponent for the NCAA tournament.  The announcement is expected to come early in the week with first round action slated for the weekend of May 11-12 at a site to be determined.
