Scranton, PA - Marywood University allowed just two points in doubles play and seven in singles play as the Pacers cruised past Neumann University 9-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis action Thursday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood, who improved to 4-5 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC, has not dropped a regular season conference match in exactly three years, their last defeat coming to Cabrini College on April 5, 2009.  The Pacer have now won 17 straight regular season CSAC matches while Neumann fell to 2-4 (2-1 CSAC).

Marywood made quick work of the Knights in doubles play as both their one and two teams won by scores of 8-1 and their three-doubles team of Ethan Jones and Ryan Mulqueen won by a score of 8-0.

In singles play, the closest match was a 6-2, 6-2 victory from Todd Doran in the top singles flight over Bryan Bodine.  At two-singles, Evan Bolus handled Zane Buckley 6-0, 6-1, and Daniel Pfafman and Mulqueen each won by scores of 6-0, 6-0 at three and four singles, respectively.

At five singles, Ethan Jones was a 6-1, 6-1 victor for Marywood over Joshua McMillion, while Wyatt Nolan beat Andrew Raimundo 6-0 in the opening set and was up 4-0 in the second set before Raimundo retired with an injury.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday April 10 when they host Gwynedd-Mercy College in CSAC action at 4:00pm.
