Dover, DE – Top seeded Wesley College used a two-inning offensive outburst to come from behind to defeat fifth seeded Marywood University 12-3 in the ECAC South Region semifinals Saturday afternoon in Dover, Delaware.  Wesley trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the sixth but scored seven runs that inning and added four more in the seventh to pick up the win.  Marywood closes their historic season at 22-19 while Wesley improves to 31-14 on the year and will await the winner of Penn State-Behrend and Penn State-Abington who are playing in the other semifinal later this afternoon.

Marywood got on the board in the top of the first with a two-out double to center from Dominic Loughlin.  Loughlin's two-bagger scored Josh Plisko, who singled to left to start the inning and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from Jonathan Woytach.  The Wolverines answered in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI double of their own to make it 1-1.

After a scoreless second inning, the Pacers grabbed a 2-1 lead in the third when Plisko again reached, this time on a bunt, then moved to second on another sacrifice bunt from Woytach.  Nicholas Pasqualichio then singled in Plisko with a shot to left center.

Michael Ciavarella kept the Wolverines' bats in check for the next three innings, but in the bottom of the sixth Wesley took a 3-2 lead on a two-run homer to right from Morgan Rupp.  After the homerun, Wesley got three consecutive singles and scored a run on an error, then took advantage of several walks to tack on four more runs total.

A Rob Benedict two-run double to left center highlighted Wesley's four-run seventh inning, and despite the Pacers getting one back in the eight on an Anthony Castellano RBI single to left the Wolverines shut Marywood down the rest of the way.

Plisko led the way for Marywood offensively, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored, while Pasqualichio was 2-for-3 and Loughlin was 2-for-4.  Ciavarella took the loss after going 5.2 innings.  Mike Siciliano, Jason Aikens, Russell Baldino and Brian Nargi all threw for Marywood in relief.
