Radnor, PA - Marywood University won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles matches to pick up a key early season win over CSAC foe Cabrini College Saturday afternoon in Radnor.  Marywood, picked to finish third in the pre-season coaches' poll, downed Cabrini, the second pick, 7-2.  Co-captain Carly Leitzel led Marywood with a win at #2 singles and #1 doubles.

Leitzel teammed with Melissa Hudock to earn a hard-fought 9-7 win at #1 doubles while Kara Hoff and Megan Nastelli had a slightly easier time with an 8-5 win at #2 doubles.  Cabrini got back into the match with a 9-7 win at #3 doubles.  A win at #1 singles from Katie Kennedy brought the Cavaliers to within one point, but Marywood won out their matches at two through six singles to take home the win.

Marywood returns to action next Saturday when they return to Philadelphia to take on Neumann University in another early season CSAC battle.
