Scranton, PA -   DeSales University scored two first half goals and one just 1:20 into the second half on their way to a 3-0 victory over Marywood University in non-conference men's soccer action on Thursday afternoon.  The Bulldogs improve to 5-2-1 on the season with the win while the Pacers suffered their third-straight loss and fell to 2-4-1 this fall.
 
DeSales opened the scoring in the 20th minute of Thursday's contest when Jonathan Balfour slotted a pass to Padraic Farrell who scored on the short breakaway to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage.  The Bulldogs doubled their lead in the 38th minute as John Kilduff beat a Marywood defender and scored to the far post.
 
Adam Berish closed out the scoring for DeSales just 1:20 into the second half, heading home a long throw in from Tyler Nolan to give the visitors a commanding, 3-0 edge.  The Bulldogs held a 14-9 advantage in shots for the game, including a 9-1 edge in shots on goal for the game.  Colin Sulpizio turned aside Marywood's lone shot on a goal, a one v. one effort by Daniel Lopez in the first half, to help the Bulldogs post the shutout victory.
 
Shane Quinn turned aside three shots in just over 74 minutes of work in Marywood's goal before being relieved by Austin Wright, who made three stops in 15:59 in the Pacers' net.
 
Marywood will look to get back into the win column on Saturday when they host New Jersey City University in a game scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on the Pacers' turf field.  Saturday's contest will be Marywood's final non-conference tune-up before CSAC play opens up next Wednesday.
