Radnor, PA - Marywood University freshman goalkeeper Victoria Pezdirtz made a game-high 12 saves and classmate Jocelyn Rutter cleared a ball off the goal line as Marywood held host Cabrini College to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon just outside Philadelphia.  Marywood earned an important point in conference play on the road in moving to 1-5-1 (1-0-1 CSAC) while Cabrini moves to 1-4-1 (0-0-1 CSAC).

The first half was back and forth with the hosts holding a slight 6-4 advantage in shots.  The second half, despite starting in Marywood's favor for the first five minutes, quickly turned into a Cabrini offensive show as the Cavaliers out-shot Marywood 12-2 in the second half.  Fortunately for the Pacers, Pezdirtz was up to every challenge.  While many shots were not threatinging, Pezdirtz made two beautiful second half saves to force overtime and preserve the tie.

Marywood's best look came late in the first overtime period when Emma Nye got a one on one situation with Cabrini goalkeeper Maddy Edwards. Edwards was up to the task as well though and kept Marywood at bay then and for much of the game by coming out to cut off long through balls.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday when they host Keystone College at 4:00pm.
