Bethlehem, PA - Moravian College scored just 1:08 into Thursdsay's field hockey contest against visiting Marywood University and never looked back as the Greyhounds beat Marywood 4-0 in Bethlehem.  Marywood, who fell to 1-6 on the year, has now been shutout four times in six defeats.  Moravian improved to 3-4 with the win.

Catherine Duffin scored her third goal of the year just over a minute into today's game off an assist from Chelsea Grotyohann.  The score would remain 1-0 for much of the first half though, and despite outshooting Marywood 13-1 in the opening frame Moravian would not score again until 1:54 before halftime.  At the 33:06 mark, Cayley Wise scored her second goal of the season off a feed from Duffin.  Keriann Badessa was also credited with the assist.

The Greyhounds would score two unassisted goals in the second half to secure the win.  Briana Van Buskirk scored 4:28 into the second half and Badessa scored in the 50th minute to make it 4-0.

Moravian held a 23-11 advantage in shots for the game and a 13-9 edge in penalty corners.  Natalie Winters (63:54) made eleven saves and allowed all four goals while Erin Dawson played the last 6:06 of the contest.

Marywood returns to action Saturday October 6 when they host Keystone College in CSAC action.  Game time is set for 4:00pm.
