Twenty-Point Opening Run Puts Marywood on Top of Cedar Crest

Scranton, PA - Marywood University women's basketball opened with a 20-point run en route to a 68-31 victory over Cedar Crest College Wednesday in the Insalaco Arena. The Pacers are now 11-7 overall and 8-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, where it sits tied for second place with Gwynedd-Mercy. 

The Pacers made nine of its first 15 shots of the game. A Maddie Lavery jumper put the Pacers ahead 20-0 with 11:36 in the first half. The Falcons ended the drought when Kayleigh Keggan drained a 3-pointer. 

Maggie Presnal led all scorers with 13 points in only 13 minutes. Morgann Hadduck produced 11 points for her third consecutive game in double figures. Brittany Mang added eight points. 

Danielle Terranella notched a team-high six rebounds to go with an eight-point outing. The Pacers tied its season low for the season with 10 turnovers, and had a season-best 2.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. 

For the game, Marywood made 45.9 percent of its shots. Cedar Crest was held to a 25.6 percent shooting performance. 
Both teams shot 5-for-15 (33.3 percent) from behind the arc. 

Cedar Crest's Megan DeMutis contributed with eight points and seven rebounds. Keggan added eight points. 

Marywood had a 37-12 advantage at halftime. 

The Pacers return home to host Notre Dame (Md.) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
