La Plume, PA – Tim Benedix scored a season-high 23 points and was one three-pointer shy of tying the single-game school record Wednesday night to lead Keystone College to an 87-49 over Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action.  The Giants improve to 13-7 on the season and 10-3 in conference play while the Pacers drop to 6-14 on the year and 5-8 in the CSAC.

Marywood claimed an early lead in Monday night's contest, leading 11-6 just over three and a half minutes into the contest and held the advantage until Benedix hit his first of seven three-pointers at the 11:15 mark to tie the game at 15-15.  The two teams traded a pair of baskets before Benedix drained back to back treys to put Keystone up 23-17 with 8:38 to play in the opening half.  The Giants pushed their lead to as many as seven points before the Pacers battled back to within two at 29-27 with 1:50 remaining before Mike Kelly scored made good on a traditional three-point play to give the hosts a 32-27 lead at halftime, paced by Benedix's 14 points in the first 20 minutes of play.

Keystone would seize control of the game by scoring the first 11 points of the second half and building a 52-31 lead with 13:48 left on the clock as Benedix hit his second trey of the period.  Marywood narrowed their deficit to 18 points with 12:13 remaining but the Giants used a 16-3 run to squelch and hopes of a comeback by the visitors, taking a commanding 70-39 advantage with 8:45 remaining and would cruise the rest of the way to complete the season sweep of the Pacers.

The Giants connected on 14 three pointers on the night, half of which came from the hot-hand of Benedix, who finished with a game-high 23 points.  Duncan Lunsford added 19 points while Mike Kelly and Ryan Vozzola netted eight points apiece in the win.  Greg Westry dished out a game-high 10 assists while Darien Wingate tied for a game-high with seven rebounds in just seven minutes of play off the bench.  Mark Musumeci turned in a solid defensive performance in the win, collecting six rebounds to go along with three blocks and two steals while Dan Candemeres added three swipes in the win.

The Giants shot 48.6 percent from the field for the night, 38.9 percent from beyond the arc while hitting on five of eight free throw opportunities.  The hosts also forced the Pacers into 18 turnovers on the night.

Ryan Corrigan led Marywood with 15 points while Andrew Andrle added seven rebounds and Shane Kellaher collected five steals for the Pacers, who shot 31.3 percent from the floor while going 5-16 from three-point range and 4-7 from the charity stripe.

The Pacers return to action Saturday with a 3:00pm contest at Baptist Bible College.
