Scranton, PA - Marywood University handed visiting Cabrini College their first conference loss of the season and in the process virtually secured themselves the #2 seed in the upcoming CSAC playoffs.  Marywood, beat the Cavaliers 7-2, improves to 8-1 overall and 7-1 in CSAC play while Cabrini now stands at 7-4, 6-1 CSAC.

All three doubles scores were 8-5.  Katie Kennedy and Nicole Broccolino won for Cabrini at #1 doubles while Marywood's Megan Nastelli and Kristen Lambert won at #2 and the Pacers' Rebecca Lukasak and Avery McCall won at #3.

In singles play, Carly Leitzel and Melissa Hudock both rebounded from their loss as a team at #1 doubles with wins at #1 and #2 singles for Marywood.  Leitel beat Kennedy in the top singles flight 6-0, 6-3 while Hudock was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at #2. 

Nastelli picked up a win at #3 (6-1, 6-3) while Lukasak and McCall were winners at #5 and #6 for Marywood.

Marywood returns to the courts next Saturday when they travel to Philadelphia to take on Immaculata University at 1:00 pm.
