Baltimore, MD - Krista Capelli scored two goals and added an assist and Emily Osborne scored her first collegiate goal as Marywood University blanked host Notre Dame of Maryland University 4-0 Saturday afternoon in Baltimore.  Marywood scored two goals in each half to improve to 5-6-3 (5-1-2 CSAC) while the Gators fell to 3-10 (1-7 CSAC) with the loss.

After a scoreless 35 minutes to open the game, Capelli put the Pacers on the board with a blast from the right flank.  Her 25-yard strike beat Notre Dame keeper Heather Lancelotti over top before dipping into the far side netting.  Just over two minutes later, Emily Osborne's first collegiate tally put the Pacers up 2-0.  Erin Doyle started the play by re-directing an attempted clearance to the top of the 18 yard box, where Elizabeth Carlson shielded Lancelotti and played the ball off to Osborne who had an open look at the net.

Seven and a half minutes into the second half Carlson scored a goal of her own when she headed home a Capelli cross from the end line.  Capelli's serve eluded Lancelotti's out-stretched hands and Carlson was right behind the Gator keeper to head home Marywood's third goal of the game.

The Pacers closed the scoring in the 62nd minute when Capelli finished a feed from Allison WarnerVictoria Pezdirtz (one save) and Emily Osborne (two saves) split time in goal for Marywood to share the shutout.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday night at 7:00 pm with an away CSAC contest at Gwynedd Mercy University.
