Pacers Fall to Keystone in Season Finale

Scranton, PA - Keystone College scored two first half goals and added an early second half goal as insurance as the host Giants eliminated Marywood University from the CSAC playoff hunt with a 3-0 win over the Pacers Wednesday afternoon at the Riverfront Sports Complex in Scranton.  Keystone improved to 6-11 (4-3 CSAC) with the while Marywood closes their season with a 4-13 overall record and 3-4 mark in conference play. 

Jessica Fusco opened the scoring for the Giants in the 24th minute of play when she finished a feed from Katie Darling.  Just over eight minutes later, Kelly Drozda found Christina Nevers to put Keystone up 2-0.

Early in the second half, Nevers found the back of the cage again, this time on an unassisted tally at the 45:02 mark. 

Keystone out-shot Marywood 20-14 on the afternoon and placed 15 shots on goal to Marywood's nine.  Natalie Winters made 11 saves for the Pacers in the loss while Susan Durand picked up a defensive save.  Keystone netminder Nichole Blank made nine saves to preserve the shutout.

Keystone will not await the results of other action Thursday before learning their CSAC playoff fate.
