La Plume, PA - Marywood University's women's soccer team clinched their seventh consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference playoff berth as the Pacers beat host Keystone College 2-1 in overtime Thursday afternoon in La Plume. Marywood (6-7-4, 6-2-3 CSAC) clinched the No. 5 seed for the post-season tournament and will face No. 4 Centenary College Monday in New Jersey at a time and location to be determined.  Kimberly Vogan scored just :38 into overtime to seal the win for the Pacers.

After honoring the Giants' five seniors prior to the kickoff, Keystone jumped out to a tremendous start, scoring the game's first goal just 2:43 into the contest when Rebecca Dinelli ran onto a thru-ball from Samantha Littleford and blasted home a shot inside the left goalpost to give the Giants the early, 1-0 lead.

After conceding the early goal, Marywood pressured Keystone's backline and goalkeeper Katelyn Coon relentlessly in search of the equalizer, but the back four and Coon held the Pacers off until the 36th minute when Shannon Stoll headed home a corner kick served by Erin Doyle from the center of the goalmouth to level the game at 1-1.

Keystone, despite being outshot 20-2 in the opening 45 minutes of play, when into the halftime break level at one thanks to 12 first half saves by Coon.

The Giants had the first great chance of the second half when Marywood goalkeeper Victoria Pezdirtz denied Brittany Sugalski's point blank chance with a nice diving save.  After being outplayed for much of the first half, the second 45 minutes were much more evenly matched with the Pacers holding a slim, 6-5 edge in shots and without any more dangerous looks in the period, the two teams needed overtime to decide their playoff fates.

Marywood needed just 38 seconds of extra time to stamp their ticket to the postseason tournament and end Keystone's season in heartbreak.  Vogan picked up a ball 25 yards out from goal and ripped a shot that Coon could do nothing about as it sailed into the top of the net to give the Pacers the win.

Overall, Marywood held a 27-7 advantage in shots for the game while generating 15 corner kick chances to four for the Giants.

Pezdirtz was credited with three saves to earn the win for Marywood while Coon finished the contest with 12 saves in fine performance in Keystone's net.

Centenary College plays their 2013 home schedule at several local high schools while construction of their new turf field is being completed on-campus.  The location of Monday's playoff game is not yet determined.
