Scranton, PA - Marywood University improved to 6-1 on the year in women's tennis as the Pacers beat visiting Bard College 8-1 in a non-conference matchup Sunday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood got a 6-0, 6-0 win from Carly Leitzel at #1 singles play while Megan Nastelli and Avery McCall both won 6-1, 6-1 for the Pacers.

Leitzel and #1 doubles partner Melissa Hudock won 8-4 to start the day while Kristen Lambert and Nastelli teamed for a 8-2 win at #2 doubles.  Rebecca Lukasak and McCall also won 8-2 at #3 doubles as Marywood built an early 3-0 lead.

Leitzel cruised in her #1 singles matchup against Julia DeFabo while Hudock fell to Albina Muzafarova 6-0, 6-1 as the Raptors earned their only point of the day at #2 singles.  Nastelli was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at #3 singles while McCall won by the same score at #6 singles.

At #4, Lambert earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Harriette Slagle and at #5 Lukasak won in three sets (2-6, 6-2, 6-2) over Amanda Gan.

Marywood returns to action on Friday when they travel to nearby Baptist Bible College for a 3:00 pm CSAC match.
