Aston, PA - Neumann University scored three goals in the game's opening twenty minutes and despite two goals from Marywood's Leanne McManus the Knights held on for a 4-2 win.  Neumann got a goal and an assist apeice from Jordan Hopkins and Kenya Woods as the Knights improved to 2-0 in the CSAC (4-8 overall) while Marywood fell to 1-11 (0-2 CSAC).

Hopkins put the hosts up 1-0 in the eighth minute of play as she scored off a feed from teammate Woods on a penalty corner.  The Knights doubled their lead in the 11th minute when Woods scored her goal with a helper from Carolynn Bacho.  In the 20th minute, Lindsey Spatola scored the eventual game-winner on an assist from Becky Guinto.

McManus tried to change the Pacers' fortunes as she opened the second half with two consecutive unassisted goals seperated by less than three minutes. She tallied her first of the evening at the 56:48 mark and her second at the 59:46 mark.  Despite McManus' best efforts, Neumann added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute from Jess Harrell to make it 4-2 and put the game out of reach.

Marywood was outshot 14-10 in the game and Neumann had a 9-5 advantage in penalty corners.  Natalie Winters made five saves for Marywood.

The Pacers return to action Saturday as they host Notre Dame of Maryland University in CSAC action at 1:00 pm.
