Scranton, PA – Marywood University scored its highest point total in six seasons in a 98-62 victory over Central Penn College Saturday to start its 2013-14 women's basketball campaign. It's the most points a Marywood team has scored since the 104 it put up against Centenary College on Feb. 16, 2009.

Marywood tied a school mark with 12 made 3-pointers against the visiting Knights. Alexa Gerchman, Nora Joyce and Morgann Haduck all drained three from behind the arc. Carly Leitzel hit two threes, and Kayley Sullivan added one. The Pacers finished with a 52.2 shooting percentage from beyond the stripe.

The Pacers had four players reach double figures. Haduck led the Pacers with 13 points. Danielle Terranella produced a double-double with 13 rebounds and 11 points in just 12 minutes of playing time. Ashley Murray and Nora Joyce both added 10 points.

Marywood led by 38 points at halftime thanks to Terranella's 12 rebounds in eight minutes. It shot 57.8 percent from the field on 26-of-45 shooting.

The Pacers were one shy of a school record with 27 assists. Haduck tallied five assists, and Kimmy Green generated four assists.

Danielle Castellanos contributed a team-high four steals.

Marywood outrebounded the Knights by a 53-28 margin and gathered 24 offensive boards. Central Penn's Jasmine Robinson was difficult to contain with 34 points on 15-of-27 shooting.

Desiree Lawrence reached double figures with 18 points to go with eight assists.

Marywood hosts Wilkes University Tuesday at 6:00 pm as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
