Hackettstown, NJ - Lorraine Dedrick's rebound goal late in the first half stood as fourth-seeded Centenary College advaned to the Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinals with a 1-0 win over #5 Marywood Monday evening at Hackettstown High School in New Jersey.  The Cyclones improve to 8-9-2 and will face top-seed Rosemont College Wednesday in one semifinal while Marywood closes their season with a 6-8-4 mark.  #3 Neumann, a 2-0 winner over #6 Immaculata, will take on #2 Cabrini in the other semifinal Wednesday.

Dedrick's goal came after Marywood's Victoria Pezdirtz made an initial stop on Becky Camp's shot attempt the 41st minute of play.  Dedrick was there to put home the loose ball and give the Cyclones the lead.  Marywood controlled much of play over the opening 25 minutes, outshooting the hosts 8-1 over that period (2-0 on goal), but the Pacers missed several key opportunities when one of Erin Doyle's shots hit the crossbar and Centenary keeper Megan Williams made a phenomal save on another Marywood shot.

Neither team could generate many chances in the second half.  Krista Capelli's late attempt to tie the game was also saved by Williams.  Both teams took 11 shots for the night, with the Cyclones holding a slight 6-4 advantage in shots on goal. Pezdirtz had five saves on the night, while Williams stopped all four of Marywood's shots on goal to preserve the shutout.  Marywood held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks on the night.
