Scranton, PA - Marywood University came back from a 16-point second-half deficit for the second time this season to defeat Misericordia University 83-72 Tuesday in women's basketball. The Pacers remain undefeated on the season with a 7-0 record, while the Cougars fall to 4-4.

Marywood trailed 57-41 with 13:56 remaining before engineering its comeback. With a team of reserves in the game, the Pacers began to chip away at Misericordia's lead. Emily Schweiger started the action with a free throw off an offensive rebound. Kimmy Green orchestrated the initial comeback with a hand on three consecutive scoring possessions. Green scored a layup, assisted an Ashley Murray jumper and created a steal that set up a Maddie Lavery bucket to push the Pacers within 10.

A 13-point run came to a resolution when Morgann Haduck drained a go-ahead 3-pointer at 4:24 to put the Pacers ahead 66-63. Marywood never relinquished its lead, capitalizing on Misericordia missed free throws. The Pacers connected on 11-of-12 free throws in the final 90 seconds, while the Cougars made just 2-of-8 after trailing.

Brittany Mang led all scorers with 22 points. She went 12-of-13 from the line. Mang contributed three assists and five steals.

Danielle Terranella battled early foul trouble to earn a double-double with 16 points and a team-high 11 boards. Ashley Murray produced 12 points. Both Terranella and Murray have reached double figures in all seven games this season.

Entering the game ranked fifth in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio, Marywood turned the ball over at an enormous clip in the first half. The Pacers coughed up the ball 20 times in the first 20 minutes, and they finished with 29 turnovers.

Green produced seven points in a valiant offensive effort. Nora Joyce and Haduck each added nine points.

Misericordia made just 45 percent (9-of-20) of its free throws. Marywood went 75 percent from the line on 40 attempts. The Pacers (43.9 percent) and the Cougars (43.7 percent) had similar performances from the field. Both teams had 43 rebounds.

The Cougars had five players reach double figures. Hannah Seely and Sam Baro both totaled 14 points. Lauren Smicherko had 12 points. Amanda Greene and Nikki Baro produce 10.

Marywood previously came back from a 16-point deficit in the second half to defeat Gwynedd Mercy University. The Pacers trailed by 11 in its win over Wilkes in November.

Marywood will look to extend its unbeaten streak to eight games Thursday when it travels to Delaware Valley College.
