Stevenson's Strong Shooting Downs Marywood

Owings Mills, MD - Host Stevenson University shot 58% from the floor and limited Marywood to 42% shooting as the Mustangs improved to 7-1 on the year with a 89-65 win over the Pacers Wednesday evening in Maryland.  The Pacers slipped to 3-5 on the year.  Shane Kellaher led Marywood with a game-high 15 points.

The game remained tight over the opening seven minutes of the game before Stevenson, trailing 10-9, went on a 10-1 run to claim a 19-11 lead they would never relinquish.  The hosts eventually built a 37-24 lead at the break and led Marywood comfortably throughout the second half. 

Ryan Corrigan and Shane Letthand joined Kellaher in double figures with 10 points apiece.  Stevenson got balanced scoring as 12 of 15 rostered players contributed points.  Erik Fisher led the Mustangs with 14. 

Marywood returns to action January 3 and 4th at the 3rd annual Cross County Challenge.  Marywood will take on Wilkes (Jan 3, 5pm) and King's (Jan 4, 2pm) at the University of Scranton's Long Center.
