Scranton, PA - Brittany Mang tallied 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead Marywood University to a 97-84 victory over Rosemont College Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers (3-0 CSAC) are off to a 6-0 start for the first time in five seasons and the third time in seven years.

Mang shot 10-of-20 from the field for her second-highest scoring output of the season. She was three points shy of her career mark of 32 points set on Feb. 2 at Neumann. Her double-double is the third of the season.

Three Pacer players joined Mang in double figures. Morgann Haduck totaled 16 points and hit 3-of-6 3-pointers. Danielle Terranella wagered against early foul troubles to post 15 points in as many minutes. Ashley Murray was lights-out eary on, scoring all 13 of her points in the first half.

Terranella and Murray have reached double figures in scoring in all six games this season.

Carly Leitzel filled in the forward role to gather seven boards and six points. Mang led the Pacers with five assists.

Rosemont (2-6, 1-2 CSAC) came out of the halftime break with a re-energized effort, erasing an eight-point deficit with a 10-point run to go ahead 55-53. Both teams traded leads for the next nine minutes with the Pacers holding a slight 70-68 edge at the 10:39 mark.

A Mang layup rejuvenated the Pacers with a 16-3 run over the next three minutes to boost Marywood's lead to 86-71 with 7:33 left. Rosemont would get within nine points in the final three minutes before Alexa Gerchman connected on two free throws to create too much distance for the Ravens.

Marywood and Rosemont were equally sharp from the field, within a tenth of a percentage point of each other at 48.6 and 48.5 percent, respectively. The Pacers drained nine 3-pointers  three by Haduck and Murray — to the Ravens' six. Marywood made 20-of-28 free throws (71.4), while the Ravens were successful on only three-fifths of their shots.

Rosemont's Liz Coyne continuously posed problems for the Pacers with great court awareness in the paint. Coyne had a double-double with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Brianna Macauley (12) and Curtrena Goff (11) reached double figures for the Ravens.

Marywood slightly out-rebounded Rosemont by a 41-38 advantage.

The Pacers are off for 10 days before playing the make-up game of last week's snow-effected contest with Misericordia. Marywood hosts the 4-2 Cougars on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00 pm in the Insalaco Arena.
