Aston, PA - Brittany Mang scored a career-high 32 points to account for half of Marywood University's points in a 77-64 loss Monday to Neumann University in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The loss comprises the Pacers' third consecutive loss in CSAC play, following a five-game winning streak that ended last Wednesday.

Mang made 13-of-20 shots, and added four steals and six rebounds. The junior guard stood just four points shy of JJ Berbenich's 1983 individual-game school record.

Nora Joyce also reached double figures with 11 points. Danielle Terranella led the Pacers with seven rebounds.

Despite the 13-point loss, the Pacers (12-10 overall, 9-4 CSAC) outshot the Knights. Marywood made 46.2 percent of its field goals, and Neumann went 39.1 percent from the field. Marywood allowed 34 turnovers, compared to Neumann's 23. The Knights (11-11 overall, 9-4 CSAC) worked the offensive glass with 15 rebounds.

Neumann jumped out to a 33-20 lead at halftime. The Pacers struggled from the floor in the first half, connecting for only seven baskets.

Mang scored 24 second-half points were not enough to inspire a comeback. Marywood shot 17-for-32 (53.1 percent) in the second half and rekindled its free-throw shot by hitting 10-of-13 in the final 20 minutes.

For the third straight game, Marywood struggled from outside the 3-point line. The Pacers made one of their nine 3-point attempts, while the Knights bucketed 7-of-17 (41.2 percent) treys.

The Pacers return home for the final time this season Wednesday to face Centenary at 6 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
