Women's Lacrosse to Host Think Pink Game Saturday

Women's Lacrosse - 4/19/2013 1:41:00 PM

Scranton, PA - The Marywood University women's lacrosse team will be hosting a Think Pink event Saturday at 1:00 pm against Gwynedd-Mercy College. The game will be played in remembrance of Marilyn Glenn and in support all breast cancer patients.

Glenn lost her four-year battle with breast cancer on January 1, 2012. She was the mother of Carrie Glenn '10, a former women's lacrosse and field hockey athlete for the Pacers. Glenn was a proud support of Marywood athletics, frequenting both lacrosse and field hockey games after Carrie's graduation.

One hundred percent of the donations collected will be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

It will also be both the women's and men's lacrosse Senior Day on Saturday. The men host Immaculata University following the women's game at 4:00 pm.

Riding a three-game win streak, Marywood currently sits in third place in the Colonial States Athletic Conference before their final league game of the season against the Griffins. Pacer players encourage fans to “think pink” by wearing pink or purple – Glenn's favorite colors – for Saturday's game.
