Scranton, PA – Seventeen days ago, Marywood University men's lacrosse attack Riley Dobel broke the long-lasting single-game goals record with six goals.

On Saturday, Dobel added two more notches to his record. He scored eight goals, to go along with an assist, to break his own school record in a 26-11 playoff-determining victory Saturday over Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. Marywood (4-9, 3-2 CSAC) currently holds the tiebreaker over Immaculata for the final spot in the conference playoffs.

Dobel also lent his name out to another Marywood scoring record. He and Sam Trill both accumulated nine points, matching a mark set last season by Dobel and Marcus Janda against Rosemont College. Trill scored seven goals and two assists in Saturday's win over the Mighty Macs (3-10, 2-3 CSAC). Dobel also matched Trill's program record with 14 shots on one game.

Dylan Swope also had a personal best with two goals and five assists for seven points. Ryan Nowell (one goal, three assists) and Cody Bachman (three goals, one assist) both contributed four points for the Pacers.

Brandon Terlizzi led Marywood with eight ground balls and won 22-of-32 faceoff opportunities. Taylor Goldson had six ground balls, and Nicholas Cornella had four ground balls in goal. Cornella made 13 saves, and Swope caused five turnovers.

Marywood enjoyed a high-flying second half in which it outscored the Mighty Macs 13-2 on the backs of several sensational goals. The Pacers tabbed five-goal streaks to lead by 23-10 following Richie Manuli's goal with 12:19 left in the fourth period.

Immaculata stayed even with the Pacers throughout the first period until Dobel scored with seven second remaining to go ahead 6-5. Dobel's goal was the beginning of a six-goal run that gave Marywood needed insurance. Immaculata crawled back with a late Bhelly Bagbonon goal to go into the break trailing 13-9.

The victory puts the Pacers ahead of Immaculata in the CSAC standings. Marywood is in line for fourth place and a trip to the CSAC playoffs. It could potentially move up the standings to third with a win Thursday at home against Centenary College at 4:00 pm and a Gwynedd-Mercy College loss to Neumann University
