Men's Tennis Clinches #1 Seed for 4th Straight Year

Immaculata, PA - Despite giving up two points for the first time all season to a conference opponent Marywood University clinched their 4th consecutive top seed for the upcoming CSAC men's tennis championships with a 7-2 win over host Immaculata University Friday afternoon just outside Philadelphia.  Marywood closes the regular season with a 11-4, 7-0 CSAC mark while Immaculata earned the #2 seed and stands at 10-3 (6-1 CSAC).

Marywood build a 3-0 lead in doubles play thanks to wins from their #1 team of Todd Doran and Mark Van Nort (9-7), their #2 team of Evan Bolus and Wyatt Nolan (8-4) and their #3 team of Ryan Mulqueen and Daniel Pfafman (8-1).

Doran fell at #1 singles to Troy Donato 7-6, 6-3 but Marywood extended their lead with wins at 2, 3 and 4 singles from Bolus, Pfafman and Ethan Jones, respectively.  T.J. Klinger gave Immaculata their third point with a win over Mulqueen at #5 singles before Frank Nicolosi closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win at #6 singles.

Marywood will take on Neumann University in the first round on Friday at the Northwood Racquet Club in Easton. The Pacers blanked the Knights 9-0 on March 28 in Aston during the regular season.
