Cavaliers Overpower Marywood in Rematch

Radnor, PA – Cabrini College defeated Marywood University 19-5 Saturday in a rematch of last year's Colonial States Athletic Conference championship. After Marywood scored the game's first goal, Cabrini (5-5, 4-0 CSAC) made the next 11 goals to put the game out of reach.

Kimberly Commisso scored four goals for the Pacers (2-7, 2-2 CSAC) in the loss. She also contributed three ground balls and five draw controls. Sarah Caughy added Marywood's only other goal to go with her five ground balls.

Michelle Thompson added three ground balls and four turnovers for Marywood. Leigha Dolcemascolo made nine saves in goal.

Marywood won eight of 18 draw controls. Cabrini held a 27-17 advantage in ground balls and outshot the Pacers 43-12. The Pacers committed 27 turnovers and caused nine of the Cavaliers' 19 giveaways.

The Pacers continue on the road Tuesday when it travels to Immaculata University for a 7:00 pm game.
