Wilkes Snaps Pacers 6-Match Win Streak

Scranton, PA - Visiting Wilkes University won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches as the Colonels snapped Marywood University's six-match winning streak with a 7-2 win over the Pacers Sunday afternoon in Scranton.  Wilkes moves to 6-2 on the year with the win while Marywood fell to 8-4 with the loss.

Daniel Pfafman played a part in both of Marywood's two points on the day, earning a 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 10-6 win at #3 singles and teamming with Ryan Mulqueen for an 8-4 win at #3 doubles.

But from there the Colonels controlled the match as they won at #1 doubles 8-1 and at #2 doubles 8-6, and at 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 singles.

Marywood returns to action with a CSAC matchup against Baptist Bible College on Friday, April 12.  The Pacers will host the Defenders at 3:00 p.m.
