Scranton, PA - Marywood University field hockey held Susquehanna scoreless throughout the first half until the Crusaders rattled off two second half goals to defeat the Pacers 2-0 Wednesday in Scranton. The Pacers (0-6) were outshot by the Crusaders 16-9 and faced a 10-2 disadvantage in penalty corners.

Kathryn Morin missed a penalty shot opportunity to go ahead 13:44 into the contest. Morin went high-left and hit the inside post on the Pacers' best scoring opportunity of the game.

Susquehanna (5-2) broke the stalemate 5:13 into the second half. Tessa Woodring struck a ball from the sidelines to Katherine Millet, who hammered it into the goal from eight yards away for a 1-0 Crusader lead.

Five minutes later, the Crusaders gave themselves cushion with a goal by Lauren Cram. Carlyn Thompson connected on a shot off a penalty corner that was kick-saved by goalkeeper Natalie Winters. The ball went off Winters' left pad to Cram, who poked it in for Susquehanna's second goal of the game.

Winters finished with eight saves.
