Scranton, PA - Marywood University fell behind early and could never recover as the Pacers were shut out for the third consecutive game as they wrapped up non-conference play with a 7-0 loss to the University of Scranton Wednesday evening at Fitzpatrick Field.  The Royals moved to 4-2 on the year and got two goals and an assist from Samantha Russo while Marywood fell to 0-5-1 on the year.

Russo opened the game with back to back goals in the 15th and 22nd minute.  Gianna Vitolo scored her first of two and made it 3-0 in favor of the hosts in the 23rd minute and Christina Akalski made it 4-0 in the 33rd minute. Scranton added two more first half goals from Vitolo and Kelsey Bacon.  Katie Hennigan rebounded a loose ball on a corner kick with just over a minute left in the game to finish the scoring.

Emily Osborne made four stops in the first hlaf while Kayla Murphy played the second half in goal for the Pacers.

Marywood will look to change their fortunes when they open CSAC play this Saturday by hosting Cairn at 12:00 pm.
