Chadwick's 14 Aces Leads Pacers to CSAC Opening Win

Rosemont, PA – Kelly Chadwick had 14 service aces and 20 assists as Marywood University opened its Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball schedule with a 3-0 victory Wednesday over Rosemont College. The Pacers won by scores of 25-8, 25-10, 25-13 to push their record to 7-3 on the season.

The Pacers owned a 25-8 advantage over the Ravens in kills. Marywood held on to a 20-1 advantage in service aces.

Sara Melick overcame seven errors to lead the team with six kills. Rachel Tollett chipped in with 14 digs.

Mikayla Bristol and Courtney Murray had breakout performances, each with three kills in five attempts for a 40 percent attack rate.

Marywood benefited from sloppy play by the Ravens (0-8 overall). Rosemont committed 12 service errors and 20 receiving errors.

Eve Romanowski provided five of the Ravens' eight kills.

Marywood travels to New Jersey Saturday to compete in the FDU-Florham Quad-Meet with the Devils, Mount Aloysius College and Mount Saint Mary College.
