Scranton, PA - Braving torrential downpour, Zachary Oster only needed a simple short right kick to bring 105 minutes of water-logged men's soccer to an end. Oster kicked the golden goal in Marywood University's 2-1 double overtime victory over Cortland State.

In the 105th minute, Daniel Lopez propelled a corner kick that found a charging Christian Lawlor. Lawlor headed a cross to Oster, who tapped it into the net to send the Pacer bench running onto the field in celebration.

Marywood (3-1-2) redeemed itself after allowing a goal in the fifth minute to the Red Dragons. Dillion Johnson chipped in a shot after goalkeeper Justin Sunseri deflected a free kick opportunity.

The Pacers evened things up in the 71st minute when Lawlor hustled in from the weak side to drive the ball into goal from a Matthew Hull pass.

Sunseri stopped a laser-beam shot in the 87th minute that sailed just under the upright. Sunseri used his right hand to thwart it over the net to keep the stalemate heading into overtime. He finished the game with five saves and one goal allowed in 104:49.

Just before Johnson's early goal, Hull was inches away from the first Pacer goal in the fourth minute. Hull rocketed a ball from 30 yards out that ringed off the outside post.

Cortland State (3-4) outshot Marywood by a 20-15 margin; however, the Pacers owned a 9-6 advantage in shots on target. Despite Marywood scoring the gamewinner off of one, the Pacers trailed 10-2 in corner kicks.

Marywood looks to continue its winning ways Thursday at Penn State Altoona at 4:00 pm.
