Delaware Valley Ends Volleyball Winning Streak

Doylestown, PA - The Marywood University volleyball team's five-match winning streak came to an end Thursday in a 3-0 loss to Delaware Valley College. The Pacers loss by scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Kathleen Reilly led the Pacers with seven kills. Ashley Zalewski and Sara Melick contributed six kills. Kelly Chadwick provided 22 assists. Playing without its starting libero, Mackenzie Goodwin and Ashley Cavellier provided 11 digs apiece. Chadwick pitched in with 10 digs.

Delaware Valley trailed 7-2 in the early going in the first half, but outscored the Pacers, 23-12, the rest of the way. The Aggies found themselves in a similar situation in the second as, down 8-5, they ran off 20 of the next 28 points. They controlled the whole third set to finish off the win.

Reilly made just two errors on 16 attempts for a .312 shooting percentage.

Marywood falls to 10-4 on the season, while Delaware Valley advances to 8-6. The Pacers host Centenary College Saturday at 1 p.m.
