Mount Cobb, PA - For the second consecutive match Marywood University had four players shoot in the 70s and set a new program record with a low team scoring mark, but this time the new record was not enough as the Pacers fell to the University of Scranton 297-303 in men's golf Friday afternoon at Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb.  Marywood's 303 bests the record they set this past Wednesday against Misericordia and Baptist Bible when they shot a 306.

Scranton's Charles Hudacek earned medalist honors by shooting an even-par 72 for the low round of the day on the 6,529 yard course.  Marywood's Michael Thomas and Scranton's Erik Meyer tied for second with 1-over par 73s.  Grant Gulick finished fourth for the University of Scranton with a 75 while Marywood's Paul Kania and Devin Crowley each shot 76 to finish tied for fifth.

The Royals' Kevin Kucharski finished seventh with a 5-over par 77 while Scranton's Brandon Gano and Marywood's John Lawless tied for eighth with 78s.

Shane Davis (82), Gaetano Zarra (90) and Andrew Kudasik (91) rounded out Marywood's scoring.  The Pacers will return to the links next Monday when they travel to Hanover Township to take on King's College at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
