Union, NJ - Marywood goaltender Natalie Winters kept Marywood University just a goal away from host Kean University for nearly 54 minutes but in the end the Cougars added four late second half goals en route to a 5-0 non-conference win over the Pacers Tuesday evening in Union, New Jersey.  Winters finished the game with 19 saves.  Marywood falls to 0-2 on the year with the loss while Kean improved to 3-0.

Kean out-shot the Pacers 37-1 on the evening, placing 24 of those shots on goal.  Winters was fantastic in the cage for the Pacers, making save after save to keep the Pacers in the game for the entire first half and the first 20 minutes of the second.  Kean had 17 penalty corners to none for Marywood. Kathrynn Morin registered Marywood's lone shot on goal in the 39th minute of play. 

Korri Thompson had a hat-trick for the Cougars, who also got goals from Bridgette Bottinelli and Julie Knodt in the win.  Thompson and Knodt each added assists on the night while Marissa Robinson added two helpers.

Marywood hosts the University of Scranton on Friday at 5:00 pm.
