Scranton, PA - Marywood University's Leanne McManus scored an unassisted goal midway through the first half but the visiting University of Scranton scored three second half goals, two of which came from Cassie Mullen, as the Royals improved to 3-0 on the year with a 3-1 win over the Pacers.  Marywood fell to 0-3 with the loss.

McManus' tally came in the 18th minute of play when she made good on the Pacers' lone shot of the first half.  Her shot was deflected by a Scranton defender and rolled past net-minder Krista Mundy as Marywood went up 1-0.

The Pacers carried that lead into halftime despite being out-shot 19-1 in the opening stanza by the Royals.  The University of Scranton quickly erased that deficit in the second half as Mullen scored unassisted just 3:05 into the second.  She would then score the eventual game-winner on another unassisted tally nearly 10 minutes later, and Blaire Wilkie added an insurance goal for the Royals in the 44th minute.

For the game, the University of Scranton out-shot Marywood 45-3, placing 27 shots on goal.  Marywood goaltender Natalie Winters was outstanding in the cage, making 23 stops.  Susan Durand picked up a first half defensive save for Marywood.  The Royals had a 15-3 advantage in penalty corners as well.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday with a trip to Glenside to take on Arcadia University at 4:00 pm.
