Scranton, PA - Lebanon Valley College's Amanda Douglass one-timed a cross from Sammy Bost with 6:40 remaining in the game to give the visiting Dutchmen a 2-1 win over host Marywood University in the final day of the 3rd annual Joe Bochicchio Memorial Classic in Scranton.  The University of Scranton downed York College (Pa.) 1-0 in the day's other game.  LVC improved to 2-2 on the year with the win while Marywood fell to 0-2-1.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the first half as they entered intermission knotted at 0-0.  LVC out-shot Marywood 12-2 in the opening half but only placed five of those shots on goal.  Victoria Pezdirtz made a game-high 16 saves for the Pacers, including two spectacular point-blank stops on Dutchmen attackers midway through the opening period.

LVC would open the game's scoring in the 53rd minute when Bost cut inside the 18-yard box to beat a Pacer defender and then slid a far-post bending ball past a diving Pezdirtz to put the Dutchmen up 1-0.

Marywood found the equalizer 23 minutes later when Brianna Bruster netted her first collegiate goal by one-timing a drop pass from Allison Warner, chipping LVC keeper Becca Sykes to level the score.  But the Pacers could not hold off LVC as Douglass scored the game-winner eight minutes later.

Marywood was out-shot 31-7 on the day.  Sykes made three saves for the win.  Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they take on #11 Misercordia University in Dallas at 7:00 pm.
