Aston, PA - Host Neumann University out-scored visiting Marywood 13-5 over the final 4:41 of Wednesday night's CSAC men's basketball game to down the Pacers 68-61.  Marywood took a 56-55 lead with 5:18 to go on a Shane Letthand jumper but a DeShawn Lowman layup in the paint gave the Knights the lead for good.  Letthand led Marywood with 17 points in the loss as the Pacers fell to 5-8 (1-5 CSAC).  Neumann improved to 10-4 (5-2 CSAC) with the win.

After trailing by eight twice over the game's opening 10 minutes of play, Marywood chipped away at the Neuman lead and tied the game at 22-22 on a three from Matthew Clark with just under eight minutes to go in the opening half.  Marywood would take their first lead of the game (24-22) on a layup from Letthand moments later, and the two teams would trade leads until a D.J. Davis tip-in with :17 left tied the game at 30-30.

Neumann held a slight lead over the opening five minutes of the second half but the Pacers would not go away.  Marywood took their first lead of the second half on a Ryan Corrigan layup with 14 minutes left (40-39) but the Knights again responded.  Marywood's only other lead of the half would be on Letthand's jumper with just over five to go.

Corrigan would be the only other Pacer in double-digits on the night after his 16-point effort.  Neumann had three players reach double figures, led by Mark Blount's game-high 18.  Marywood hit 40% of their shots from the floor but were just 6 of 17 from behind the arc.  The Pacers limited the Knights to just 1 of 10 shooting from three-point range.

Marywood returns to the court Saturday when they host Gwynedd Mercy University at 2:00 pm.
