Women's Basketball Takes Down Gators for 71-21 Victory

Baltimore, MD – Marywood University women's basketball held Notre Dame of Maryland University to seven second half points en route to a 71-21 victory Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. The Pacers shot 45.6 percent from the field and held the Gators to just 14.8 percent shooting.

Maddie Lavery led the Pacers (11-4, 6-1 CSAC) with 12 points and a team-high four steals. Nora Joyce matched the game high with 12 points.

Danielle Terranella had nine points and a team-high six rebounds. Carly Leitzel also contributed six rebounds. Shayna Orr posted a career-best eight points.

The 50-point victory is the Pacers' largest of the season. Marywood recorded a season-high 22 steals. It is the largest win since a 53-point victory over Penn State Hazleton on Nov. 17, 2011.

Marywood went six-for-17 from beyond the 3-point line for a 35.3 percent average.

The Gators' Naimani Staley was a rebound away from a double-double with nine boards and 10 points. Briana Johnson corralled eight off the glass.

Marywood returns to the court to take on the top team in the CSAC standings when it travels to Cabrini College Monday at 6:00 pm.
