Rosemont, PA - Matt Tintle's jumper with two-seconds left propeled Marywood to a 71-69 win at Rosemont College Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action.  Matthew Clark's game-high 26 points, a career-best, helped the Pacers snap a six-game skid and improve to 6-11 (2-8 CSAC) while the Ravens fell to 8-10 (6-5 CSAC).  The two teams split their season series, each winning on the road.

In putting together Marywood's highest point total by an individual this season, Clark went 11-for-17 from the floor with two three pointers and two points from the charity stripe.  The freshman was just one of two Pacers in double figures, as Jonathan Velazquez added 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting, including a 2 of 3 effort from long range.  Dom Scafidi had a team-high 16 points for the Ravens.

Tied 24-24 in a back-and-forth first half, Shane Kellaher's three gave the Pacers a lead they would hold onto until halftime.  Marywood kept Rosemont at bay the rest of the opening half, but a late trey from the Ravens cut Marywood's lead to one going into the locker room, 36-35.

Down two five minutes into the second half (47-45), back-to-back Clark jumpers gave the Pacers a two-point lead and ignited a 10-0 run that gave Marywood a 55-47 lead with 11:01 remaining.  The hosts would not go quietly, as they battled back with a 8-0 run over the next two minutes to get back to within two.

The Ravens then took a 58-57 lead on a traditional three-point play from Nadir Stukes with 7:59 to go, and a pair of Stukes free throws gave the hosts a five-point (62-57 lead) at the 6:42 mark.  Clark sunk a pair from the charity stripe moments later to get the Pacers back within three, and a Ryan Corrigan three with 2:06 to go knotted the game at 66-66.

Rosemont took a two-point lead on a Dan Kearney jumper with 1:43 to go, and after Rosemont made one three-pointer Velazquez nailed a huge three to tie the game at 69-69.  With :22 to go, Marywood forced a key turnover to regain possession and set up Tintle's heroics.  Rosemont's desperation three with 0.7 seconds left fell short as the clock expired.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they travel to nearby Clarks Summit to take on Baptist Bible College at 8:00 pm.
