Clarks Summit, PA - Shane Letthand had a game-high 20 points and Ryan Corrigan added 16 as Marywood University downed Baptist Bible College 69-64 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Wednesday evening in Clarks Summit.  Marywood's win, their second in a row after a six-game slide, improves the Pacers to 7-11 (3-8 CSAC) while BBC fell to 6-12 (3-8 CSAC) with the loss.

In defeating the Defenders, Marywood split the season series with BBC.  It is the second game in a row that has happened after Marywood picked up a win at Rosemont this past Saturday after falling to both the Ravens and Defenders at home earlier.  Marywood's bench out-scored BBC's 25-6 throughout the game.

Letthand and Corrigan both went into halftime with eight points apiece after the Pacers built a 41-33 halftime lead. Throughout the first half, Marywood built a five-point lead three times but could not extend their lead past that until a Corrigan three put the Pacers up seven (38-31) with 3:21 to go in the opening frame.

It took the Defenders just five minutes in the second half to climb out of their deficit, and the Defenders went up one (47-46) with 14:51 on a jumper by Dan Decker.  The Pacers immediately reclaimed the lead on a jumper from Matthew Clark, and that sparked a key 8-1 run that put the Pacers would never relinquish.  BBC did manage to tie the game at 62-62 with 1:46 to go, but the Pacers closed the game on a 7-2 run for their second straight win.

Marywood also got 10 points from Matt Tintle while the Defenders got a team-high 17 from Jordan Greve.

The Pacers return to action Saturday when they travel to take on Gwynedd Mercy at 4:00 pm.
