Langhorne, PA - Marywood University concluded a stellar regular season Friday with a 9-0 win over host Cairn University.  The Pacers concluded the regular season with a 10-1 record, which included a 9-1 mark in league play.  Marywood will have to await several other results over the weekend to determine their playoff seeding, but the Pacers could see themselves anywhere from the top seed to the third seed.

Megan Nastelli's three-set win over Rebecca Graber completed the shutout for the Pacers and concluded the three and a half hour match.  Nastelli won the first set 7-6 (7-3), dropped the second set 4-6 and bounced back for a 6-1 win in the final set.  No other singles match was even closely contested.

Kristen Lambert won at #2 singles 6-2, 6-3, Avery McCall was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at #3.  Rebecca Lukasak earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at #4 and Devon Underwood also beat her #5 singles opponent, 6-0, 6-0.  Natalie Burke was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at #6 for the Pacers.

In doubles play, Nastelli and Lambert won 8-5 over Graber and Natalie Livingston in the top doubles flight, while McCall and Lukasak won 8-3 at #2.  Underwood and Nastelli easily won their #3 doubles match, 8-0.

Currently being played, a Gwynedd Mercy win over Cabrini would force a three-way tie for first place in the league standings with Gwynedd having one more match remaining.  Marywood handed GMU their first CSAC regular season loss in over four years two weeks ago.  A three-way tie would result in tiebreakers determining the top three seeds.  A Cabrini win over GMU would give the Cavaliers the top seed, Marywood the #2 seed and GMU the #3 seed.

The CSAC playoffs begin next Friday with the semifinal matches and conclude Saturday with the Championship match.  The winner of the four-team playoff will receive a automatic bid to the Division III National Championship tournament in the spring.
