Scranton, PA - A back-and-forth first set that saw a combined 64 points pushed the momentum in Cabrini College's favor in a three-set victory over Marywood University Friday in a key Colonial States Athletic Conference women's volleyball matchup. The Pacers fell by scores of 33-31, 25-18, 25-22.
Mikayla Bristol led the Pacers with 13 kills and eight digs.
Kelly Chadwick had 28 assists.
Amy Kester and
Ashley Zalewski each manufactured nine kills.
Defensively,
Shayna Finn chipped in 13 digs.
Amy Kester added a dozen digs.
Catherine Anlas enjoyed a career-high three blocks. Kester, Zalewski, Bristol and
Kathleen Reilly all had two blocks apiece. Zalewski continued her conference-best shooting percentage by hitting 22 attempts with one error for a .364 attack rate.
Cabrini's Chelsea Jones and Anne-Marie Jones both garnered 10 kills. Cassidy Koenig and Amy Guarini had 19 and 16 assists, respectively. Kelly Guarino patrolled the backcourt with 19 digs. Christina Ingargiola blocked four shots.
Marywood travel to Gwynedd Mercy University on Tuesday before heading to the Bulldog Rumble at DeSales next weekend.
