Marywood, who improved to 11-1 on the year, will go for their 11th conference title in Saturday's CSAC Championship match against top-seed Gwynedd Mercy University. With the win, the Pacers avenged their only regular season defeat. Cabrini handed Marywood a 7-2 loss on September 13. The Pacers have now rattled off 10 straight wins. The Cavaliers close their season with a 12-6 mark.Recently named 2014 CSAC women's tennis player of the year Megan Nastelli and fellow first team all-conference doubles partner Kristen Lambert got the Pacers started off right as they downed Terra McHenry and Tori Yeich 8-1 in the top doubles flight. After Marywood's #2 team of Avery McCall and Rebecca Lukasak fell 8-4, Marywood's second team all-conference duo of Devon Underwood and Natalie Burke put the Pacers back in front heading to singles play with a 8-6 win.Burke gave the Pacers a 3-1 lead with a 6-2, 6-0 win at #6 singles over Maggie Javitt and Lambert put the Pacers up 4-1 with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Samantha Trumbo at #2 singles. Underwood and McCall both won their first sets and led 4-1 in their second sets, but it would be McCall at #3 singles who finished first with a 6-3, 6-2 win to secure the five-point win for the Pacers. Marywood and the Griffins have battled for each of the past three CSAC titles. Marywood won in 2012 and Gwynedd reclaimed the Championship in 2013. The Pacers handed the Griffins their first regular season league loss since 2007 on October 3 as Marywood downed the Griffins, 5-4.
