Marywood Shuts Out Notre Dame in Tennis

Baltimore, MD - Visiting Marywood University improved to 6-1 in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's tennis action as the Pacers (7-1 overall) blanked host Notre Dame of Maryland University 9-0 Saturday afternoon.  Three singles results ended without a point for the Gators, who fell to 1-8 (0-6 CSAC) with the loss.

Marywood's #1 doubles team of Kristen Lambert and Megan Nastelli earned a 8-2 win while the #2 team of Rebecca Lukasak and Avery McCall, as well as the #3 team of Melanie Kobela and Nicole Sharga, both won by scores of 8-1.

In singles competition, Nastelli (#1 singles), Devon Underwood (#5) and Elspeth Peterson (#6) al won by a score of 6-0, 6-0. 

Lukasak was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at #4 singles while McCall won 6-1, 6-1 at #3.  Lambert then won at #2 6-3, 6-2 to close out the shutout win for the Pacers.

Marywood returns to the courts next Friday when they host Baptist Bible College at 3:00 pm.
