Dallas, PA – A pair of goals in the opening 37 seconds of the second half was enough to break open the game as host and number three seed Misericordia University advanced to the ECAC South Region semifinals with a 6-0 win over sixth seeded Marywood University. The Pacers close their 2014 season with a 10-5-4 overall record.

Tied 0-0 at the half, Marywood gave up two goals early in the second half and could not recover.  Nick vonEgypt made it 1-0 in favor of the Cougars just 17 seconds into the half, and 21 seconds later Chris Edkins doubled the host's lead.

vonEgypt would make it 3-0 with his second goal of the game in the 54th minute and in the 62nd minute completed a hat-trick with another goal. Trey Ziegler added a tally in the 70th minute and Sean Lynch closed the scoring in the 86th minute for the Cougars.

Misericordia (13-6-2) advances to take on #7 Widener University, a 1-0 winner over #2 Grove City College, in one of two semifinals scheduled for Saturday at top seed Penn State Harrisburg.  PSU-Harrisburg downed Cabrini 1-0 and will face either #4 Alvernia or #5 Swarthmore in the other semifinal.  Winners will meet Sunday for the ECAC South Region Championship.

Seniors Jonathan Rottkamp, Kris Kassel, Jamie Mangini and Joshua Soto played in their final games for the Pacers.  Over the course of their careers, the four helped Marywood to an unprecedented run in Marywood men's soccer history.  Rottkamp, Kassel, Mangini and Soto led the Pacers to a 48-22-10 (29-5-2 CSAC) record from 2011-2014, four consecutive berths in both the CSAC and ECAC tournaments, three CSAC Runner-Up finishes (2011, 2013, 2014) and a ECAC Runner-Up finish in 2012.
