Lancaster, PA - Rookie Catie Nealon led three Marywood players in double figures with a game-high 14 points and the Pacers leveled their record at 1-1 on the young season as they beat host Franklin & Marshall College 63-51 in the consolation game of the Terry Greene Tip-Off Classic Sunday evening in Lancaster.  Danielle Terranella reached double digits for the second straight night with 13 points and added a game-high 13 boards for the Pacers. The Diplomats fell to 0-2 on the year.

The first half was tight, with Marywood's biggest lead of six points coming with 6:55 left as Nealon connected on a three pointer.  The Pacers would eventually go into the break up one, 28-27.

Marywood led for the opening 6:43 of the second half as well, until the Diplomats' Sarah Haddon hit a layup to put the hosts up, 40-39.  Tied a 46-46 with 10:19 to go, neither team could muster any offense for a 2:30 stretch, keeping it a low scoring affair.

The Pacers reclaimed the lead on a pair of Terranella freebies, and another Nealon trey with 5:28 left extended the Pacers lead, a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the way.  Another long range shot, this time from Tara Steakin, gave Marywood a eight point lead (58-50) with three and half left.

Another cold spurt from both teams over the next three minutes ended with Marywood icing the game on the line as Alexa Gerchman hit one of two to make it 59-50.

Marywood's bench out-scored that of F&M's, 41-16.

Lisa Steakin added 11 for the Pacers.  Two Diplomats had 10 points apiece, but Marywood limited the hosts to just 30% shooting on the night.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday with a non-conference trip to nearby Wilkes.
