Scranton, PA - A 22-point run in the first half enabled Marywood University men's basketball to top Penn State Worthington Scranton 85-52 Sunday at the Insalaco Arena. With the score tied, the Pacers held the Lions to without a field goal for a 10:03 span as they built a 29-7 lead.

Five Marywood players reached double figures in scoring. Jeremy Ringland and Shane Kellaher put up identical 12-point, eight-rebound lines. James Curley led the Pacers with 18 points. Michael Rotell and Shane Letthand contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Daniel Tintle produced four assists. Ringland blocked four shots. Curley went 4 for 6 from 3-point range.

Marywood extends its record to 3-1 on the season. Penn State Worthington Scranton drops to 2-4.

Penn State Worthington Scranton's Hasiin Dixon was a rebound shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine boards, in addition to four assists. Jon Devine scored seven points and seven rebounds.

Marywood shot 48.5 percent from the field and hit 30 percent (9 of 30) from beyond the arc. The Lions struggled in the first half, hitting just 6 for 25 from the field for 24 percent. Penn State finished with a 34.6 field percentage and knocked 27.3 percent of its 3-pointers.

The Pacers dominated the glass with a 42-33 edge in boards. Marywood passed the ball more proficiently, owning a 21-11 advantage in assists. Marywood had a 24-7 edge in points off turnovers, and its bench outscored the Lions 54-16.
 
Penn State Worthington Scranton led by as many as four in the early going before the Pacers' 22-point run.

Marywood hosts Baptist Bible College Wednesday at 8:00 pm as part of a doubleheader. The women's team will take on Rosemont College prior to the start at 6:00 pm.
